Review summary

Although there were small hiccups the experience overall was great. Our dining team and other staff we met onboard were excellent. The events we went to were great and overall we had a great trip.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Of course there is always traffic (both foot and vehicle) because everyone is striving to get onboard but the staff were great. We had such warm greetings and help with luggage even in the rain. All the stations moved swiftly and the process was smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I enjoyed each meal. I love the variety of options (if chosen correctly) throughout the week. Our dining experience in the Reflections Dining room was great. Our team was amazing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I wish there was space for another pool or even times where adults could swim without children. It’s fun to watch them enjoy the pool but it would be more fun if adults had time to swim as well.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw every comedy show and loved them. I attended the trivia about moms and it was great. Some of the guest tried to tell Alvincible the answers were wrong so maybe triple checking those before he gets wrongly attacked would be good. The dance class was fun. I would like to commend the host for stoping the class to assist a special needs guest in finding his mother. You could tell the young man was afraid and the host instantly stopped the class to assist that passenger. It was amazing to see. The string trio performed well each time also. The white night party was great. The party on the lido deck was also a lot of fun. I think the team did a great job of trying to add activities when we got to Jamaica because of the rain. It seemed like there weren’t as many later evening events this cruise but thats understandable.

Children's Programs

I didn’t have children cruise with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Mike the cruise Director was fun and always nice when engaging one on one. Alvincible was extremely funny and great to be around. Mike (from the fun squad) was also nice when assisting us with exiting the ship in Mexico. Arvin Mitchell was always nice when we saw him around the ship. As a comedian, you could tell he still tired to blend in as a regular guest so people didn’t treat him differently. He was nice about joining families at different meals, taking photos, and even just holding conversations in the halls. Nyoman our room steward was very nice. He always greeted us warmly and took great care of our room. Leanne in the meridian dining room was super nice. She made sure she connected and welcomed guest every morning for breakfast. Our dining team (Gede, John Paul, and Nyoman) was amazing as well. They each took the time to learn our names and remember distinct things about us or things we may ask of them. They engaged us in great conversation and had great senses of humor as well. Overall this cruise was great.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I think the ship overall was amazing. The elevator system was a bit difficult at times. I noticed most guest didn’t read the sign that said select the number of people in your party to get an elevator car. But I think it would go a lot smoother if that wasn’t a requirement. I do think the ship was clean and well maintained each day.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was nice, it felt a bit smaller than the cabin we had on the Vista but it was still a great experience.

Ship tip

Pay attention to the elevator instructions. It works better when you select the number of people in your party.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
We had a hard time parking due to driving a 15 passenger van. The parking staff sent us round and round the port areas without giving good direction on decks that could accommodate us. We finally met one staff who managed an open lot past deck F and he was very helpful.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

5 out of 5
We had a great time once the rain went away. It was easy to get off and go into the city. We took a shuttle around and enjoyed our tour. It was harder to get back onboard because the rain delayed a lot of people going out which lead to delays of them returning. The crew did well with assisting everyone and supporting those who needed it.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
This port was also fun. Taking the tenders over forced passengers to plan there time better but there was less of a wait time to get back on board that day. Our tour was nice.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
The entrance/exit store area was a bit crowded with multiple ship passengers trying to navigate it. Cozumel itself was nice. We enjoyed a beach trip. There wasn’t much to see in our tour since we didn’t go to the ruins but overall the beach area was nice.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
There probably should have been more spaces for people to wait to leave outside of the staterooms. It got really hectic when people were frustrated about the elevators or trying to take the stairs.
