Review summary

This cruise was good but not nearly as good as other Carnival experiences. We wanted to try the Horizon as it was a newer ship and maybe we expected more. There was nothing wrong with this ship/trip but I will choose another Carnival ship before booking the Horizon again.

MDR was good - same choices as always. Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana - best lunch option. Lido buffet was disappointing - breakfast did not impress, lunch was just so-so. Bonsai sushi and Cucino Capitain were good. Guy's Pig and Anchor - skip the food but the beer was good.

Only went to one stage show - the new design of the main theater is not good. Too many view obstructed seats. Especially enjoyed trivia time with Leo and the electric violinists were a great addition to the usual entertainment. Comedy club was good as usual

MDR wait staff was excellent - really added to the overall enjoyment. Don't think the overall service in other areas was as good as previous experiences

The Electric Violinists or Strings or whatever they called themselves were one of the real highlights of our time on the Horizon! Those 3 gals could play!
