Review summary

We were excited to be on a new ship with the Horizon, but we were disappointed. The layout is the same as all Carnival ships. Being on deck is identical to being on the Dream. The differences are negative. Atrium is tiny compared to other ships, decor is only photos, elevators are confusing to most and take forever. The crew was awesome as usual.

Buffet was horrid. Had the same uninspiring food every day. Was super disappointed. American Table in dining room is still a disaster that Carnival needs to remedy.

Onboard Activities

Ropes course was fun. Sky ride was unique and entertaining. TV channels were lacking. Our team was playing in the NCAA basketball tourney and we couldn’t even watch it, even though it was on CBS.

Cloud 9 Spa

They over charged us and double charged us on every treatment. Spent too much time correcting the bill instead of enjoying the services. We did couples massage, double close shave, teeth whitening, facial and stone massage.

Ship is new and very clean. Staff worked tirelessly on cleaning. Layout of ship is just like all other Carnival ships.

Cabin was nice. Layout was good. Plenty of storage. Carnival needs to ditch the shower curtains for doors.
