Great ! Filet mignon , beef wellington , lobster tail without going to the more money dining joints.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
lido buffet was nice and typical , what you want in a lido deck dining. Main dining was great, just like it use to be years ago before those specialty dining money mongers came around and they starting serving cheaper entrees.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Casino was disgusting , filled with smokers. Most just smoking at the bar. Cant believe 2019 and they let them smoke . they should have there own smoking bar with a couple of slot machines for them. Why do non smokers have to smell that. I spent little time there due to it. Herd a lot of people complain of it.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
main shows lacked a live Band . don't like watching people dance and sing Karaoke to a music back track. Latin band sucked , who likes latin music ? The live band that played in the "Ocean Lounge " was awesome ! Go see them for good music and dancing . only went to Piano bar once , was ok but the long haired guy I saw made every song sound the same.

Children's Programs

no kids with me

Service and Staff

they were all great!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Not enough lounge chair areas for everyone in sunny areas. Towel thugs went crazy taking lounge chairs and went on with their day somewhere else and leaving others standing around looking for an empty lounge to happen.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Standard stuff.

Ship tip

When it comes to smoke in the casino Carnival has its head stuck in 2001 with the Paradise. They also had problems with the Chinese who are serious smokers. The 15 percent of smokers are more important to Carnival than the 85 percent of us that do not smoke. I am getting tired of being sick by the 3 or 4th day of a cruise, so after this year I will start going back to smoke free land based casinos and slow down on cruising. I have done 81 cruises with 7 more on the books. I may be old but can easily change my habits.

We just went on our first cruise, my Husband and I, for our 25th Wedding Anniversary! We fell in love with RC’s Symphony of the Seas, the biggest and newest ship out there that I know of, on a Western Caribbean cruise! Now we want to take our mostly grown children, whom most have graduated high school and have been in college. So we we would love to do this again, but with six of us, budget is an issue more this time than last! I am afraid to try another CruiseLine and another ship even, I love what we had on the Symphony and the familiarity of experience with that ship. I am afraid that we will have a terrible experience otherwise with the unknown, especially with our oldest daughter having Autism and planning ahead. We noticed so many on our ship with disabilities, with their families and on their own. I guess I am asking if you or anybody out there reading this have any advice in this area? Thanks in advance!
