Review summary

This cruise was awesome. My first cruise and definitely wont be my last! Warm beautiful weather just about the entire time. All on board activities were top notch. The quality of activities on board was amazing and I was pleasantly surprised.

Food and Dining

We ate at Lido marketplace buffet and the selection was great. Also the buffet had 4 operating windows, which we loved because late night ran to 130am! Meridian Restaurant was really good, we were assigned there for dinner but found ourselves eating breakfast there twice and it was made to order and delicious. The pizza parlor was 24 hours and delicious for late night, we ended up there at 2am. Ate at 555 Fahrenheit steakhouse for a friends birthday at $38/person and the meal we received was well worth $80/person or more.

Onboard Activities

Went to the fitness center and the treadmills face a wall of windows at the front of ship. The sun rose as I walked and was so beautiful. So many more machines to select from, there is something there for everyone. Other side had yoga mats and cycle bikes. Aerobics classes offered as well. Also went to the thrill theater level2 and level 3. Loved level 3and also had an IMAX theater on board playing aquaman and glass.

Entertainment

Cruise director Mike was the best!!! He made the shows so funny and enjoyable. He was witty, always had a joke or pun and made us laugh constantly. Went to lip sync battle, mixology contest, hairy chest contest, punchline comedy show: chas elstner and punchline showcase:Diane Ford and loved them all!!!

Did not bring ANY of my 6 children on this cruise.

Service and Staff

Sofyan was our room steward and he was excellent, he remembered our names and greeted us in the hallways daily. Room was wonderfully maintained. Waiters were nice and always smiled, it made me happy that everyone was so happy.

Ship Quality

The Horizon is beautiful. Ever turn and every corner was though out in detail and designed. Every area was well kempt and there was constantly someone cleaning or picking up rubbish.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size was small but I knew that already because of the cabin we purchased. We had enough room to move around comfortably and we are plus sized. There was a temp gauge on the wall so cabin could be as cool/warm as we needed.
