This was our first cruise on I would call a "mega-ship" . I liked all of the amenities and programs but I think the smaller ships are more relaxing so it depends on why you are cruising. Also the HUB app was great ... really liked the convenience of the activity planner, making reservations on the fly etc. That was a great feature.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
the arrival schedule didn't work...hundreds at the port at once had to stand in line an hour, but the actual process was quick
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Disappointed in the food Maybe it was because the ship was so big but food often came out cold Flex time dining was nice. Specialty restaurants booked up by mid-week. Make your reservations early.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
PROs - The most activities on any ship I have seen. Comedy club shows were a hit....lines for almost every night show. Nice water park and sky ride. CONS - Casino was a negative though....SO smokey you couldn't even breathe, so we opted not to even play. Also the SPA experience was bad. Wife went for a relaxing massage and experience high pressure up-selling on products. Heard the same complains from other guests. One persons said she spent $1000 on services she regretted.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Best musical entertainment and shows we had ever seen on a ship. Celestial Strings is a not to miss show. Mike the cruise director was great. IMAX theater was impressive.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff was extremely helpful and helpful. Our cabin steward (Alicia on deck 14) was excellent, kept our ice bucket filled each day without having to ask.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
CON - The stair cases up and down from the Lido deck (pool area) were constantly wet. And staff was always cleaning them and making them wet....people were slipping.
Easiest experience ever...would have been helpful if they had told us that the various carousels were coded to you zone number. Luckily we went to the right one by accident. Did not see the monitor until we were leaving.
