Review summary

Carnival Horizon was beautiful ship. Embarkation was ok...didnt love going into a new ship via a tight corridor and not into main atrium...Loved the food and the staff really accomodated our every request, from changing to early seating dining to recommending great excursions to meet our needs. Hated the reserving of seats in the show venues and there needs to be more security in these areas to prevent this. I wished there were more time in ports. Hated that we only had 7 hours in 2 islands. Cabins were very comfortable and stateroom staff very friendly and kept the room very clean. Disembarkation was horrific and schlepping all pur luggage across the street b/c there is no curbside pickup in NY is ridiculous!

Loved the ship & the design but thought that Blue Iguana & Guy Fierri Bugers could have used more room for people waiting in lne for their food...they were blocking people in the pool area trying to walk through.

We had a nice balcony cabin. Was a bit put off by the loud music coming from Ocean Bar area at 5:30am. I rise early and love to be on balcony but it wasnt quiet and tranquel. We asked it to be lowered and it was. Windu was our staroom attended and he was friendly and fabulous at his job of keeping our room in tip top shape.

Ship tip

Do not fall for fake “Reserved” laminated seat signs in the show areas. Plus there should be more security in these areas when the fights break out about people reserving entire of seats.

There are no reserved seats for shows, except H/C seating, they are talking about people reserving seats for others. What do you mean entering a hall? All of the videos I've seen show passengers entering the Atrium on deck 3 when boarding.

Had no idea you had to reserve seats. Seems strange.
