Review summary

Booked through and had no problems whatsoever. Wonderful new ship. Lots to do for kids and adults. I did wish the pools were bigger and that there was an adult only pool. Deck chairs by pool were always reserved with towels. Policy is supposed to be if chair is unoccupied for a certain amount of time (I believe it was 30 min.), things are removed by staff. Never saw that happen. Food was amazing! Tacos and taco bar was wonderful. My husband loved the Guy Ferrie(spelling?) hamburgers. Dinners on Carnival are, in my opinion, the best of all cruise ships. I was never disappointed. Still dreaming of lobster and their cold gazpacho soup. Overall wonderful cruise

There is no serenity pool on Horizon. There is the Havana area where you have to be over 12 years old to be able to stay there, but before 7 pm every day, you have to be a Havana guest to use the private pool, hot tubs, and deck area. If you stay in a Havana cabin, you have special wristbands that you wear and they do check when you come into the area. After 7 pm, anyone is allowed in. We have a Havana Cabana booked for Thanksgiving week and we can't wait!

Even the Havana pool area has their chair saver guests. This 1 group on deck 5 port side cabanas, they who already have their own patios right there would have 1 individual go out by 615 every sea day morning and put towels on just about every lounger on that side, amazing! !! But either chairs or other loungers would eventually become available.

I think it is okay to hold your chairs while you run in and grab something to eat. I know we always do that. I go down at 700 I. The morning and stay there unreturned my husband comes down and then we go in for breakfast. Same with lunch. Never leave the chairs for more than 30 minutes

I was just on the Horizon and saw crew memebers putting stickers down on deck chairs being held by towels. Unfortunately the seat hoggers showed up and then decided to finally stay put so they wouldn’t lose their chairs from what I saw

I'll be on her in 95 more days can't wait. So we cannot move the towels. Because I'm going to move them if no one comes up after 30 minutes

Exciting Caribbean Cruise

Best cruise ever,

It's was fine. Not the best, not enough seating on deck, had to get up at 5am to get a lounge chair for 5 people to keep our family together.
