Review summary

One port was cancceled due to a sick passenger. I can't say i was surprised as alot of people on board looked like they should be in nursing homes. Food was not great. Elevators were terrible. Under staffed. Had to wait in line, at least 30 mins, for everything-food,elevators, activities. Ship was hot and smelled like sewage. Losing that port, the best one in fact, was the cherry on the cake. Bye bye Carnival...will never cruise with you again...maybe never again with any line if cruiselines are going to start becoming nursing homes. Seems to be a new trend these days.

Old cruisers life's matter too!! You say may never cruise again because of old sick people, guess what they are on land too!!! So go vacation on a deserted island by yourself or with a bunch of unruly teenagers. Lighten up you be old someday and when you get there stay off the boat.

Last cruise we were on had a mixture of younger, middle age and older people. I think it is great. We talked to younger and elderly people during the week and as long as they are nice who cares what age they are. We had a blast!!!

The first clue is No Cruises posted... I am 58 and by the end of this year, my Bride and I will have been on 13 cruises, 12 on Carnival... Every Ship had fake posts like the one above from Nasty people, funny thing was how many great posts were given, on the same cruise dates... We were always worried, but went on the Cruises anyway, and fakes were proven to be just that...

Getting older is a luxury that many people do not have. Maybe you need to remember that.

From USA TODAY Is Cruise ship living a cheaper option for seniors than assisted living? Is cruise ship living a viable alternative to assisted living for seniors? We compare the costs and the amenities. https://usat.ly/2y078TS This is not a fake review and if you don't like it, don't read it. I am NOT a youngster, i am in my 40's. Oh its ok to say certain lines have too many kids (and how parents don't control their kids) or too many single people getting drunk and partying but t it isn't ok to say there were too many older people? Double Standard. What do you all work for Carnival? This was my opinion. If it differs from yours, fine. It doesn't mean my opinion is wrong and if you didn't experience what I did, you were lucky and I'm glad you had a good time. Instead of trying to prove me wrong, take it for what it is worth and move on. Sounds like way too many Baby Boomers are reading my post that can't accept that anyone else cpuld have an opinion that differs from their own. Shame shame.

No !picalo you have nursing homes and then you have your Alf assisted living I work at an assisted living not a nursing home. And Nomorecruiser you got to get old one day,so watch your mouth

Also my room was 68 degrees, very cool considering it was like 100 degrees in the islands, maybe go in March if its too hot. I never waited in line for any food, just walked up and got what i wanted.

I was on this cruise. A 33 year old had ipendicitits. Had nothing to do with this the old people comments. Ship is new and smelled that way. Sucked we lost a stop however it is a risk of cruising that 4000 guest plus employees dont have a medical emergency during that time should not be surprising, or the weather keeps you from a stop. Everyone i met seemed to be having great time.

Maybe instead of complaining about a sick person. How about ask for prayers for them. But planes make stops for sick people also maybe you should be the one that stay home

picalo    6 years ago

They don't use the term nursing home any more..it's assisted living
