If you used a third party, ie cruises.com, for your booking, they are the only ones who can get an upgrade for you. If you purchased thru Carnival, then just keep calling them about an upgrade.

in the past I just called the carnival each week to see if they offered upgrades and if there is a price drop. I called back to get a credit and sometimes I would get it. sometimes I would not. but its worth trying.

I don’t completely agree with that answer… We use a PVP, and she does everything for us. She negotiate fare changes, room changes… And even sometimes upgrades us for free through her company, provides add-ons (strawberries and/or additional OBC)…. Her company does all of this for no additional funds, in other words what you see on the Carnival website is what they offer to include any special fares or add-ons listed by Carnival.
