Review summary

We had a lot of fun on this cruise, but a big reason for that is that we were on a group cruise and the cruise Director was fantastic. The ship does need to go into dry dock and need some work.

CQ4Life- Ships go into dry dock for maintenance every 5 years. So if the 2017 date is accurate, it should have also had the 2022 drydock. Probably when they got the new hull livery. No major upgrades or new ships on order for Carnival Corporation until the $30B is paid down. They are still selling and transferring ships between divisions. Just recently sold one from a foreign brand to Margaritaville at sea. They'll get the mandated drydocks, routine maintenance and new carpeting every 5 years. Too much internet complaining about older hardware not being brand new. Want a brand new ship, I just saw the price to book the ultimate family townhouse (Star Class Suite) on RCI Star of the Seas for Christmas '25 and it was well into 6 figures.

Why do you say it needs to go into dry dock? It went into dry dock in Feb 2017. Just curious. I will be back on it FEB 2024.

Our trip was good for the most part with exception of not having hot water the entire trip, when the maintenance came in to repair the faucet on the final evening of our stay he ended up flooding our cabin.
