Review summary

Overall we had a fantastic time! The crew on the Glory was so great. I am always impressed with the friendliness of the workers & their ability to remember names! The Glory needs a facelift but is still a Fun Ship for sure.

The 3 cabins my group stayed in were very clean but you could tell the ship needed a face lift. The lamp shades in our cabins were barely hanging on 😂 & our toilet flushed when it felt like it. Sometimes it would flush right after we pushed the button; other times it took up to 10 minutes to flush. It did not affect our fun at all, but just know the Glory definitely needs some time in dry dock.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

This island is so beautiful & you don’t feel nervous at all. It’s a pain to use a water shuttle to get over but oh well. We did Stingray City & snorkeling with Captain Marvin’s. They were great! They took tons of photos of us with the stingrays. It would have been $82 for a flash drive of all the photos. We didn’t buy it but that was definitely a more reasonable price compared to Dolphin Cove in Jamaica!

Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel is a beautiful island & I have no issues with it specifically — which is why I rated it 5 stars. However, our excursion was pitiful. Our Carnival excursion to Passion Island was cancelled due to high winds so we were left trying to find somewhere else to go. We ended up taking a taxi (very friendly drivers) to Tequila Beach Club. It was $20/person for admittance (which included chairs, umbrellas, beach/pool access, restrooms/showers, & “free WiFi”). The beach was very small & rocky. I know the rocks are not their fault but it made it hard to get in & out of the water & not much good sand for the kids to play. The pool was small. The free Wi-Fi was pathetic. It wasn’t accessible unless an employee logged you in & the reception for it was bad. We will definitely not return to Tequila Beach Clib next time we are in Cozumel.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

We enjoyed our excursion through Carnival that took us to Dolphin Cove & Doctor’s Cave Beach. But the country itself leaves something to be desired. I highly recommend Dolphin Cove — our guy who was in the water with us was so nice & helpful. Rashawn (I don’t know if I am spelling it right) was so good with my kids. They took photos of us with the dolphin but we didn’t want to pay $50/person with a group of 8!! 🥴 That’s on top of the $100/person we paid for the excursion.

I did not explore the city at all, but overall this was a very easy port to get in & out of.
