Overall, this was a very relaxing and FUN cruise. The bad excursion just happens occasionally, and we will always remember it as such.
The seas were calm and the weather was nice. We met really nice people both on the ship and ashore. Sailing on the Valor on a B2B in April.
Embarkation

We were onboard very quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The MDR was excellent. The food was good and the service was excellent. The Deli was very good as was the Bonsi Sushi. The LIDO buffet was also good. Guy's Burgers seems to have lost its focus, the beef just isn't as good.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Carnival is known as a FUN ship and they had plenty to do onboard. Security made sure everyone had a good time, but behaved.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff quality has improved greatly since Covid. Our cabin attendant, Darwin, was one of our best ever. The waiters in MDR were excellent. All the crew greated everyone.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This is a great older ship. Some guests had A/C issues. The ship is clean and well cared for. Balcony cabins always seem to get warmer due to sun exposure. We did an interior cabin for the first time and it was always cool.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our first time in an interior cabin. It was large enough with the same amount of closet and drawer space as a balcony cabin. The head was also the same. Our cabin was cool and dark at night. There is no chair or couch, just a stool. We were under LIDO and were concerned about noise. Turned out to be a non-issue. Very quiet cabin. 8373.
Ship tip
Plan on having FUN and leave your worries behind for a week.
We did an excursion on an open top bus that was a Carnival excursion. The bus wasn't at the port when it was scheduled. Late start. Went to a run-down shopping area. Drove by "historic" places, but never stopped. Went to a run-down over crowded "beach resort." No tables or lounge chairs were available for 30 minutes until a group left. When we left, we had to cross town to go to a "Tequila factory". It wasn't a factory at all. Just a rural, off the beaten path bunch of shops. One was set up for tasting and selling. Not a good product. No one bought any. This was the biggest rip-off. Carnival should refund everyone's money and stop this excursion.
We got ashore and walked up and down all the streets and shopped in all the stores we found interesting. Once again, we always have had wonderful experiences on the excursions in Cayman.
Must have been on a different open top bus tour in Cozumel that day. Ours was really enjoyable, same itinerary but everything slotted into place for us. Really enjoyable but yes Tequila tasting was a long way out, perhaps they should replace that part with something else?
