How do you NOT enjoy a cruise to the Caribbean? It was great! Haven't sailed Carnival since the pandemic and while some things on the ship have disappeared most things are good as ever.

Review summary
The ship is beautiful but starting to show her age. Cut backs in many areas since Covid restrictions were lifted may leave some disappointed but make no mistake, this is a wonderful, quality experience. We booked this because of the 5 hour slow trip down the Mississippi River from New Orleans which, for us, is always rewarding watching this magnificent river flow by at sunset. Be aware: summers are HOT and HUMID in the tropics be prepared for the heat. Carnival is sometimes considered the Walmart of cruising but don't let that put you off. This ship offers, with a few exceptions, everything the average cruiser desires without having to mortgage the house to get it as you do on some cruise lines. If you're on the fence about this one ....TAKE IT!...especially if you can find it at good discounted price, you won't be sorry you did.Embarkation

Ship tip
The scenic trip down the Mississippi River heading out is why we booked this one. It never disappoints. Eat in the dining room and stay out of the buffet except for breakfast. This is a fine ship and offers the traveler a lot of options to enjoy, try them all...if you can find the time.
