Review summary

Best Cruise EVER! Our first since COVID restrictions lifted. Wonderful experience to start back our favorite vacation.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
A Coast Guard inspection of the ship stopped all embarkation activity resulting in extremely long lines. Folks standing in sweltering heat with no water or fans. Once the Coast Guard approved embarkation, the lines moved amazingly fast. Way to go Carnival New Orleans embarkation staff!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All but one of our dinners in the main dining room. Food and service were excellent. We also enjoyed three Sea Day Brunch, food and service were also excellent. At lunch we had salads from the buffet and entrees for Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana Taco/Burrito Bar. Service was fast and food was tasty. The only complaint was with the Carnival Deli, sandwiches were only toasted on one side and the meat did not have the opportunity to get warm. A cold reuben loses a lot. Did not eat at the the deli again after this experience. Late night pizza was very good but the lines were very long. Still worth the wait.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Deck Parties were awesome. Cruise Director Christian and his staff kept the activities lively and fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Best shows I have seen on Carnival, this my 6th sailing. Greatly improved staging and performers were marvelous. My favorite show was Amore Cubano, the new Latin music show. I would love to see it again.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin steward was attentive and responded quickly to our requests. Dining staff was friendly and remembered our names. All staff we had contact with provided quick and friendly service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I like the layout of the Glory a lot. We were on Deck 8 Forward. Even with most night clubs and events being ship's aft, we were able to move around the ship quickly. There were times.. especially after shows let out.. that there was a bit of a wait for elevators. That is to be expected.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a balcony cabin on the starboard side. Comfortable cabin, everything was in working order. The steward kept our cabin neat and well stocked with tolietries.

Ship tip

This was our first cruise to elect Your Time Dining. I highly recommend! We used the Carnival Hub to reserve a table before we left our cabin on Deck 8. By the time we got to Deck 3, our table was ready. Never stood in a line.

Very organized and moved quickly. We checked our luggage the night before. We were in our car driving away by 9:30am.
