Glory is old, but she did her job and gave us another wonderful cruise on Carnival. With ALL of my negative feedback, we still enjoyed our time on the ship meeting fellow shipmates and just relaxing
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We normally go out of Galveston and found New Orleans port, very much more organized and controlled. We had this woman push her way past us in line with an almost two hour different arrival time and she was politely ask to wait in the other line, so those who have the correct arrival time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food and drinks are always good. I noticed that they post the menus on the buffet and I noticed that most of the meals offered in the dining room are on the buffet. Guys, pizza and Tacos always a favorite.
EA Sports Bar
5 out of 5
It’s the Sky box and was the place to be.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We honestly relaxed the entire cruise and we simply relaxed at a bar or pool side, areas were always clean.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Carnival staff ALWAYS seems to impress me since I was in the entertainment business and the way that EVERY staff members stops working to speak or they are always working really impresses me.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
Ship is very dated and a lot of water leaks from ceilings, very bad smell. Design reminds me of an old night club from the late ‘50s. The windows are almost not windows, they are foggy and you really can not sit and look out. If the theme is a 1950s night club… spot on.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was clean, balcony door didn’t close you had to push it closed, windows so foggy couldn’t see out of them. Also cabin next door… whenever they closed their door sounded and felt like walls were about to fall off.
Ship tip
Do NOT stay on lido deck, pool leaked into a few cabins, when eating in buffet areas be aware of ceilings because twice I had water from I don’t know where drip into/ on my plate. Unless they can figure it out from this trip, be prepared for a horrible odor. Whenever we ask about it, would say…”okay” it was all over ship, hallways, outside deck areas around slide areas.
Again we normally cruise out of Galveston and last few times it was complete chaos. But this cruise was simple, they called us by muster stations and we were muster D and off ship by 7:30 Not a lot of people hanging out in stairwells and elevators waiting to be called. Carnival did an amazing job.
