Review summary

Had a great cruise, great staff, no complaints. Ready to go again.

Embarkation

Would have been a 5 star however the previous cruise was 5 hours late getting back. Had to wait in a long line in extreme heat outside. Once we got inside everything went very well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All food was very good and the servers were excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were great, had a great time with Gil at the piano bar, comedians were great, and I won some cash in the casino.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were good, we really enjoyed the Glory Band and acoustic tunes from Isaac. DJ JD was good too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the ships service staff were great. Our lead server Ethel was great in the dining room, our room steward was top notch. My wife had an issue with her Sail and Sign card a the beginning of the cruise, we joined the very long line at Guest Services. Ship personnel had extra staff helping people in line, we got our issue resolved within a few minutes, was very impressed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I like the Conquest class ships, we have been on the Conquest, Freedom and now Glory. I like the adults only pool and he flow of the ships works well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our room could have been a little cleaner but I understand that with the previous cruise running 5 hours late it made it hard to clean more thoroughly. We enjoyed our room, temp controls worked well, fridge worked well, plenty of storage, no complaints. Very comfortable bed.

Ship tip

If you don’t have kids go the the adult only pool on Lido aft. There is a pool and two hot tubs, a bar with good service, thanks Nigel, and easy access to the Lido buffet and bathrooms. Bonus: If it rains like it did on our last cruise day there is a retractable roof that will keep you dry.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
Our favorite port to start a cruise.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Tip: Carnival has there own area with shops, beach and good snorkeling. We bought the package with unlimited air tram (long walk to beach without), 2 longe chairs with umbrella and snorkeling gear. There are some small coral reefs about 100 yards off of the snorkeling pier, pretty good snorkeling with many fish.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
Went on the Rendezvous Caye excursion, small island with access to very good reef and snorkeling, a guide takes you around the reef and tells you about it and the wildlife.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
One of our favorite ports, there is always a ton of things to do here. We went on the Twister to Isla Pasion. Have done that one twice. A lot of fun and beautiful island.
