The towel animal theater was very cute and something we looked forward to every time we went to our room. The food needs immediate help!!! Please update the shows, that is a big part of what people want to do, but seeing the same show over and over sucks, Chef's Table needs a complete reboot, maybe taste the food you are putting out would help. I do have to say the gentleman that did the plating did amazing, the taste though....

Food and Dining

The only good meals were at the Seafood Shack, Guy's Burger, and the Steakhouse. The Chef's table was an utter disappointment, I have never been so unhappy with a meal that I looked so forward to. The Main Dining Room Platinum Late was horrible. The only good part of MDR was service staff trying their best to replace meals that mad us so sick we walked away from the table. The rudeness of the staff when we attended sea day brunch after not understanding we had to have a checkin on the app reservation was unacceptable. And when we did we standing outside the doors, as we walked up when the app said your table is ready another group of 6 was taken to the table. I mean I get it changes were made because of COVID but I won't ever travel on this ship again, and am serious considering cancelling an already booked next cruise with Carnival.
Onboard Activities

Some friends and I love to have a little fun in the casino, but when we noticed the casino staff was allowing an obviously belligerent drunk that had urinated on himself to continue to make bets that exceeded the tables limits, allowed other people to play his chips while he passed out wearing sunglasses we were done. I along with other guests noticed this and notified what we thought was the casino tables supervisor and nothing was done. This man had to be physically taken by handcuffed wheelchair to his room. The pools were ok, sad we couldn't' simply take a beverage like previous cruises to sit in the pool. Trivia was the ONLY activity that was fun, the rest of the activities were quite mediocre. After the set sail activity we heard of little else again like previous fun cruises.
Entertainment

I guess we were getting new solo acts on their first days, because they were awful. The shows were repeats of what we had seen on ships 3 years ago. The last nights new show wasn't watched after being sick from Chef's Table.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Thank GOD for the few good staff members we came in contact with: Liezl was an Angel and helped make sure I was taken care of after getting food poisoning from the MDR. She was professional making sure to the smallest detail of calling us by name. Louie at the Casino bar remembered our names and favorite beverages. and Dan with Trivia in the Atrium made windy days fun. Welly and Hendri in MDR tried their best to cover for the lack of delivery from the kitchen for meals, they offered replacements, and a cheerful attitude.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship itself is beautiful, we loved the theme, colors, lighting.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was perfectly placed to where we wanted to be away from children and near the serenity deck. Liezl kept the room clean and supplied with all necessities and even helped with nausea medicine.
Ship tip
Maintain control of your staff and the unethical activities that are occurring in the casino. Not everyone has friends to watch out for them. It was so disappointing to see Carnival Staff ultimately stealing.
Shops were ok, quite overpriced. Dear God take an excursion and don't try to walk the downtown historical area. We were harassed by beggars and homeless from the moment we walked out. We were so interested in seeing the forts and historical buildings and just about ran back fearing we were about to be robbed.
Carnival Shops charged over 100% more than items I have found from (example DelSol) online. The sunglasses I bought broke before we made it home and after listening to Tessa I have tried for almost a week now to request replacements to be met with that part of the system is down and seeing the prices are so much lower. Three Amigos was great. I am not used to shop workers harassing you to come inside but I realize if they don't get people in they don't make money. The massages for less than half price of the Carnival Ship's Spa were nice and twice as long.
thank God I was ready to get off that ship and head for any restaurant for a decent meal. I have never lost weight on a cruise before... well I can't say that anymore.
You said embarkation was quick and professional, but rated it one. What was the bad part? Also wonder what went wrong on your trip that made it much worse that other folk’s experiences?
