Our first time on the Carnival Glory, our first time in Belize and Costa Maya and our first cruise with the kids. Enjoyed every minute with her and the cruise itself.
Embarkation

The system went down for a bit and an accident with one a passenger getting on the ship which made our time of 1230 an hour behind. I hope they weren’t hurt too bad. I didn’t hear or see an ambulance so that was a good sign. It was a bit hot and the line was moving so slow. When we got to the gangway we were rocking. The waiting and standing in place for a while all goes away when you are walking towards the gangway and see the ship you about to get on.

Food and Dining

The dining room has always been a great dining experience. It has never disappointed me. The only issue I had was the lamb chops. I ordered medium well and I received them well done which made them a bit chewy. That’s the only gripe because they were seasoned well. We didn’t do the speciality restaurant this time around. The buffet on this ship was just ok. I tried it once and after that, went to guys burgers and the deli the whole time in between breakfast and dinner. I discovered that the chicken from the deli, by itself is amazing. Has the best taste and the bread is gaa-reat I put away a few of those and it’s up there with the tuna fish sandwich that I love love love.

I think it was the fact that this was our first cruise since the shut down but these burgers were on my mind the whole two years away. I was tearing those burgers up

My first experience with them was a great time. I did not get her name but the lady that made this black widow drink was amazing to me. When you cruise the glory, make your way to the Alchemy.
The Carnival Deli

Now I would normally get my tuna sandwich and be done but I found out about their chicken breast and I know I ate more of the chicken than my tuna. Plus it’s better without the bread as a sandwich I think. Aoli on the side was a bonus.Highly enjoyed it.

The wait staff, food and the sites were nice when we attended sea day brunch. On those sea days and coming into the different ports made it nice.

The food and the atmosphere were nice here. We enjoyed our wait staff and the drinks tasted stronger this time around, lol
Onboard Activities

The hot tub was my first ever and it was pretty good. I’m not a social person and have never been in the pool or h.t. but I enjoyed the people and the conversation which will have me back there on my next cruise. I went to the fitness center two mornings and one evening and all three times, only a few people were working out. I enjoyed that a lot.
The Fun Shops

Shops were ok for souvenirs and decent gifts but I could not find anything I wanted. I bought a hat and shirt combo which I needed up giving the hat and shirt away as an added gift.
Entertainment

The shows have grown on me since my first cruise. My wife and I enjoyed all the shows. The singing, dancing and acting were on point. If you like broadway shows, ship shows are a good alternative to the New York, Atlantic City and florida shows.
Black and White Library

It was quiet and empty. Their weren’t any games like on previous ships in the library. It was cool to see the old newspaper of the old days.

What can I say about the people who represent Carnival Glory. My experience with the staff has been nothing but wonderful and because of them, it gets me back on the Carnival ships every time. I am happy with the way they have always treated my family and this time was no different.
Ship Quality

They kept the ship clean and were managing the spraying and the wiping down very well. The crew were masked up the whole time. I appreciated that even though I and my wife were vaccinated.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin seems to be that same size as any other stand balcony. It was roomy for the two of us. The more people and it becomes crowed very quickly. We took our two children who were 14 and 18 at the time and shared a balcony. The two twins pushed together, the bunk up top and my son who was on the couch and I’m foo g to just put it out there because we are all family here. He was messy and funky with dishes and trays everywhere because of room service. When you have all of that, the room shrinks fast, Ijs. Adi, our cabin attendant was very thorough in making sure the cabin was squared away. Bathroom, bedding right down to the towel animals, he was awesome. With it just being my wife and I this time around, the cabin size was very comfortable and easy to manage. Balcony’s are the way to go for us. We love to the water the breeze when the sun isn’t on our side of the ship, lol. That thing is brutal when you are already black in color. It does nothing for your complexion.
Ship tip
My experience since I’ve been cruising is not to expect anything. To me all ships in lithe ones I haven’t been on are pretty much the same. Bigger, newer, freshly painted. Even if you have all the amenities it’s still the same. The bigger you go something will shrink and it will cost. Enjoy your time and make memories.
My first time cruising out of New Orleans and it was pretty cool with the exception of the long wait do to unavoidable circumstances. People that we’re waiting with us were nice and it made the wait seem doable with to much of an attitude.
First time for this port we had a good time. This port was overly crowed it seems like. Each store had what seemed like 150 people in each. We struggled to maneuver through at times but we did it and sweated it out along the way. Loved the Marina. In this port and of course the blue and turquoise water throughout the ports.
Easy once again. We decided this time to put our bags out the night before which I think made the process longer than taking your luggage on yourself. All in all we had no problems with disembarkeing.
