Review summary

Overall it was a good cruise, typical. However this was was Carnivals 50 year Birthday. All the hype of all kinds of extras, throw backs, entertainment & Perks just didn’t happen. We love Cruising with Carnival but we’re disappointed in there “Sailibration” Another item is waiting until the last few days to change the scheduled ports. It was very obvious early last month we weren’t going to Grand Cayman. Why wait until about 5 days prior to make the change.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was good not perfect, there was a delay in boarding so basically everyone was sitting in the terminal. It was very crowded. But everyone seemed happy to be there

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was very good, from MDR to the Lido, Guys, Blue Iguana, Deli and the Pizza pirate. Never had a hard time if you needed something to eat.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Cruise Director was OK. He needs to be more visible throughout the day. Not enough information given out on the announcements. There was a time change during the Cruise and that was the main topic in the Lido Saturday, prior to disembarking. The other activities were good, enough to do if you wanted. A BIG shout to Mark on the fun squad. He was awesome.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Disappointed, some were good others, “where did they get them”. No strings, which I look forward to. This was a Sailibration, the Entertainment should have knocked our socks off.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
First our room steward Ibbara was fantastic. We saw him everyday, very attentive. Aft bar tender Karen was the friendliest of all, we would walk to the back of the ship to get drinks. Kudos to her and another bar tender, I didn’t get his name, they turned down a drink to someone they called by name offering water to drink instead. Everyone was so very friendly, we loved the Crew.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout was good once you figured out which floors went through and which ones didn’t. Similar to the Conquest we got off of in January.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Typical stateroom, we had two minor issues that were taken care of by our room Steward letting Maintenance know.

Ship tip

The Glory is a beautiful ship, nice layout

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Great port to get through, went to Mr. Sancho’s that was fun and worth the price. They take great care of you.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Was good by Carnival, held up by Customs. One thing, people with all there luggage shouldn’t be put into areas with stairs to lug there luggage.
