It was a great overall experience. I did not like the layout of this ship as well as others as I found it hard to get from one end to the other. Most of the theater shows were great and we had fantastic comedians. We had lots of good food and entertainment. I noticed that they no longer give you a daily chocolate on your pillow and there was no herbal tea, which I normally drink.
Embarkation

We got right on the ship, with no waiting time. We were so lucky that someone helped us get into a quick entry area. Once we were on we started having fun, but the ship was late leaving port by several hours.

Food and Dining

Our dining room had amazing food! I don't eat meat, other than fish and I had excellent choices. Our wait staff were great! The breakfast dining was good. The buffet for lunch was good, but it seemed to be the same choices every day, so it got boring. We loved the Mexican food station. I loved the Quatro Formaggi pizza at the pizza station. It was irritating that many of the water stations closed at night and the ice cream was supposed to be open all night, but we never could find one open.
Onboard Activities

I had a fantastic hot stone massage. It was too expensive, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. They added a tip automatically without any choice. I took one yoga class and was disappointed that the instructor never said when to breathe. The hot tubs were too cool except for the ones on the upper front. The fitness center was nice, but I never used it. I got a lot of exercise taking the stairs and walking around the ship.
Entertainment

They had some really good stage shows. I loved the dancing and singing. I was disappointed in a couple of the shows. The night they had the game where the audience members were in a Newlywed game should have been an afternoon show. We loved all four comedians and made it to many of their shows. We loved a guitarist and singer named Rachel Maxann and Midas Touch with the Trio Amigo. We enjoyed solo guitar with Matthew and piano sing along with Drew Phillips. We may not have made it to some of the others, because we went to shows and comedians. I thought the disco should have opened sooner. Many things that I wanted to go to were scheduled at around the same time. I was disheartened to see that the educational programs were all to get you to buy something. Deon was our Cruise Director. I liked him right away. He was full of energy and entertaining. By about halfway through the cruise, I got tired of his same signature announcements that always started and ended the same way. I would just recommend that he uses more variety and shortens it up. By the debarkation, we just wanted him to get to the announcement and skip all his extra stuff.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was Bagus and he did a great job. Our servers in the dining room were great. Their names might've been Dennis and Jeffrey and one other, but not sure.
Ship Quality

The main lobby was beautiful, the place was cleaned and well maintained. We were just frustrated at trying to get to all the places without going through the smoke filled casino. You couldn't go all the way through on 3 and 4. Then you went up to 5 and that was the casino. Also, sometimes our favorite music was in the casino. One time I tried going outside and going back and I couldn't get back in. I had to come back in where I went out. So the layout of the ship was very frustrating.
Cabin / Stateroom

We loved our cabin! It had a couch that someone could've slept on. We loved the window most of all.
We did an excursion where you got a driver and they took you wherever you wanted to go. We knew we wanted to go to the Botanical Garden and a beach. Our driver took us to those places and suggested the rum factory where you could try rums and rum cakes and a good place to eat. We loved the whole day and our driver was close by waiting for us whenever we were done.
We loved this port and did an excursion to Goff's Caye. We snorkeled and then spent time on the beach. They had free rum drinks included. You had to buy the food, and we didn't but other people were enjoying it.
Our shore excursion got cancelled due to high winds. We didn't know how to get something else, so we went back on the ship and came back out without all our towels and things. We shopped and went to Three Amigos. We enjoyed guacamole and drinks there.
We were not in a hurry and enjoyed relaxing on the ship until our time came to get off. My only suggestion as I have said before was that Deon should just get to the announcement at this time and drop all the Heidi Ho and I love you Carnival Cruisers.
Three Amigos guac and margaritas were quite good (we went there too). We liked the ship layout but it is difficult to maneuver around depending on where you are trying to go. I agree with you on the ridiculous announcements.
Great review & Heidi Ho, I've got to go. Love you Carnival Glory! 😂
Glad you enjoyed your cruise! 🛳. It has been a long time since you cruised, because the pillow chocolates have been gone for years. The herbal tea disappeared about 2 years ago. I bring my favorite teas even when I attend the afternoon tea on sea days. Glad you are back to cruising.
