Carnival does a great job. Their staff is excellent. The food is above and beyond. Definitely eat at the Steak House. You never feel like you are crowded. I felt like I had 5 vacations in 1. Cruising is my new favorite thing. They just need to work on the excursions it is confusing being put out to port with so many people yelling and you have no clue where to go. What to do. How long you will be gone. Etc.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Slightly confusing getting on the ship and to our cabin but worth it once we were on board
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
For a ship that is feeding almost 4000 people a day at multiple venus.. Can I just say WOW! The food was incredible wherever we ate and I am literally the pickiest eater I know.
Lido Marketplace
5 out of 5
Did someone say 2nd breakfast? Always something to eat with super desserts
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was always something to do on board and you never felt overwhelmed or crowded. Not like when you go to an amusement park and can't get on a ride. You were able to do exactly what you wanted to do whenever.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Cruise Director and his crew rocked the entertainment and kept the fun going. The DJ was fantastic. The stage shows were top notch. A new show every night to see.
Carnival SeasideTheater
5 out of 5
Loved loved loved this! I never get to go to the movies. And this was the best set up ever!
Children's Programs
No children attended
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff worked very hard the entire time. They made sure to use your name if they could and go out of their way to be helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The staff was always cleaning. Common areas and just shut down open food service areas were scrubbed thoroughly constantly. Super important with a ship filled with germ spreaders.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was sufficient and kept clean. It was exactly what I expected from pictures I had seen. We were 3 people and with a little maneuvering did just fine.
Ship tip
I paid for faster to the fun. Sure it got me on the ship faster. But I also had to be 1st out for excursions for a tender and 1st out to leave on disembarking. Not my choices. So choose wisely.
This port was crowded with and we had 2 hrs until our excursion which was not explained to us. We weren't prepared for shopping. While our excursion was fun. The guide was a little rough and constantly yelling.
This was a very nice port with good shopping. We booked a non carnival excursion and we were taken all around Honduras learning all about the island and making various stops.
We didn't go into belize but rather straight to goffs caye for our excursion. We somewhat enjoyed it but felt that they were piling too many people on a small island. There was nothing to do. No where to go. No where to really sit. And it was forever until we were taken back to the ship. Time when we could have gone into Belize.
This was a super great shopping port! We went to Playa Mia which was fun and relaxing. Due to rough seas we were unable to enjoy any water sports but it was still some nice downtime.
Info about the length and timing of all cruise line offered excursions is right online at time of purchase or in the excursion magazine in every cabin (and changed out every cruise). Also if you had any questions about you cruise line sponsored excursion, with Carnival, all you need to do is look for the orange shirted excursion employees at the gang plank or tender dock.
Welcome to cruising. Next step is booking your excursions with outside companies. Cheaper, better and customized..bored in giibs cay...they will take you someplace else! Usually just one or two families.
