Review summary

I would say that this was definitely a successful and fun adventure for our family. We enjoyed the ship and the ports. The staff was extremely friendly. We also really enjoyed and our dinner service how much attention they paid to my daughter and listen to what she had to say when she tried to order for herself. Just extremely friendly staff willing to answer questions.

Embarkation

It went very smooth considering how many people were going through the doors.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Awesome amount of choices and I love that the menu changed daily so it wasn't the same thing over and over. I also really liked that there were a few things that you can get any time during the day like the pizza or room service.

Platinum Restaurant

5 out of 5

Great wait staff and love their interaction and care they put into everything checking if the food was good or if we need anything else to eat. Extremely polite and what I expected out of a fancy restaurant.

Red Sail Restaurant

4 out of 5

Good variety even though hard to find seating at times. Definitely like that the menu was different each meal.

Burrito Bar

4 out of 5

Great food and like that it was a build-your-own burrito definitely filling

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
We did the pools but I would have liked to have had a little bit of a splash pad area for my daughter to just sit and splash in versus sand in an inch of water since she didn't care for the small water slide. She did enjoy swimming in the pool with me but I do wish there were a few more things for smaller children to do.

Mini Golf

4 out of 5

Definitely a unique experience playing mini golf on a moving ship in the wind. But we did as a family activity and absolutely had a blast with it. My daughter enjoyed it the most definitely had its challenges

The Fun Shops

4 out of 5

Great place to shop and had pretty much everything we needed including a few things that we either ran out of or had forgotten from home. Definitely a great place to get are keychains for friends and family.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
The only thing my child attended was the Build-A-Bear at Sea first event I had her signed up for the ocean camp but never ended up using it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I love that our room Stewart would greet Us in the hall by name I thought that felt very personalized. We also really enjoyed our dining experience. We really enjoyed how all the staff interacted especially the waiters with my daughter and catered to our needs. Chat and Joyti and Luis where our wait staff and they we're extremely friendly. They worked well with me when I needed to bring some food back for my husband because my daughter was not feeling the greatest one night and they were willing to let me take a meal back to him.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I think the common areas were very well-maintained. Go lay out was a little difficult to navigate being a first-time Cruiser. Especially when you are doing the dining area and having to walk a child through the casino is something I did not care for until we finally could take all the way down at the end of our staterooms to take it straight down to our dining area. After we got it figured out on how to maneuver a navigate it went pretty smooth.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I think it was a perfect size for a family of three. The bed was extremely comfortable and well capped and the maintenance was fantastic I had no issues in my cabin. And we loved the towel animals that were left on the bed was my daughter's favorite part of it.

Ship tip

If trying to get somewhere located near where you want to be on the map and make sure that you have a pass through from one end of the ship to the other. A good example would be being on the 8th deck and taking the staterooms almost all the way down to the end to get down to the dining area 5 floors down at the Platinum dining room.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

We did a stingray and starfish Excursion and it went well we made it back in time but I did not like that we were still in line for almost 45 minutes to an hour after getting off the Excursion bus even though we are a few minutes behind. Having to wait without knowing if we are in the right line without asking a hundred people just to get on to the tender to make it back.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

My husband and mother-in-law absolutely love doing their Excursion of the zipline and suspension bridges. My daughter and I and grandfather absolutely love doing the shopping in the beach everyone is very friendly and I did like being able to walk right onto the gangway and right into the port versus taking the tender.

Belize City, Belize

We did the top 10 tour of Belize and it was a fantastic tour. The five of us completely enjoyed it and would definitely do that one again. The tender did seem like a much longer boat ride than the first one and that was not explained as to why it was parked so far out to make it to Port. But their service was definitely really well done.

Cozumel, Mexico

Just basically stopped and did some shopping kind of wish there was a little bit of a Beach area for my daughter to plan did find a little patch of sand that you could sit and look out at the ships her at the Port was not too bad no excursions on this one.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Being first time cruising we weren't sure what was the best way to go to get to our flight with having a noon flight we made it just in time by keeping our luggage with us buy them doing the fast call. I think waiting until they called Our Deck was a fantastic idea except at the time they also called some of the tagged bags instead of waiting till the end so when they finally called Our Deck we just made it to our flight. Everything else went fairly smooth I think there should be an option for those that have the early flight on the decks to leave a little sooner than others as long as they can confirm that their flight is earlier.
