Review summary

This was our first cruise. The experience was awesome. I plan to go on another. Hopefully not too far down the road.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Helpful staff and fast moving.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining rooms and restaurants were clean and friendly. Trash cans around would be great. No place to put a tissue if you blow your nose.

Platinum Restaurant

5 out of 5

The dining experience was great for my family. Being from the Midwest, we don't have a lot of fine dining. It was nice to expose our daughter to it. Again, very clean and friendly staff.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Sports deck and pools.

Sports Deck

5 out of 5

This was where we spent a lot of time. Either for the view or for our daughter to play basketball, volleyball or mini golf. Loved it all.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were awesome. Dustin and Ruffi (don't forget the O, that is important) were always upbeat and great entertainment.

The Colors Lobby

5 out of 5

We loved this atmosphere. However, some of the activities needed to be in the Amber Palace. There was simply not enough room/seating. People could not walk through due to people crowding around.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff person on the ship was awesome. I want to shout out to my staff particularly. Gary in house keeping was great. Jahot Silalahi and his staff of Egar and Nengah were absolutely the best. After our first night, they knew our names and what we wanted. Jahot would even acknowlegde us by name when not in the dining room. He made the women in my family feel special. I appreciate that very much.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It took about a day and a half to learn where we were and where we were going. But beyond that, it was great. Never a time when we never saw someone cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was small, but who spends a lot of time in their cabin. I am there to see things I would not have seen if it not for Carnival. Thank you for everything.

Ship tip

Let someone else handle your luggage. Too many people to be carrying luggage in or out.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
The port was easy. Easy to find our excursion location. Our guide, Ken was awesome and very informative. We visited Hell, the Turtle Farm and did the Sandbar Stingray experience. They were our favorite of our cruise!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
This was also easy. However, we went from our ship to a catamaran. Did not do much to in port. We went to Isa Pasion. That was great! A lot of fun and good food.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
This port was good. Our excursion to the Mayan Ruins was great. Jungle Joe was a great guide.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras Did not visit port

Winds were too high. We could not port at this location.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
If people would listen to instructions and follow them, this would go a lot smoother. However, this is not a problem of Carnival. We did what we were asked and had no problems.
