Review summary

All in all on a scale of 1-5 my cruise was a 3.5. My husband and I had a great time together, but as this was my 4th cruise I feel well versed in cruising and I believe that my experience could have been better. This is a great cruise for a first timer, and a great cruise for those with children.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I booked my cruise nice and early, I was able to select an early embarkation time and we spent no more than 30 minutes in the terminal before we boarded. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't bring a bottle of water on board, but whatever!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I really enjoyed the food, especially the breakfast. They had french toast, eggs, sausage, grits, and a wide variety of fruit. I wasn't the biggest fan of Guy Fiery's burgers as I thought they were very greasy, and they were VERY skimpy on the fries. There was a little something for everyone. The dinner was SPECTACULAR!!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I felt that the onboard activities could have been better. They held a "hairy chest" contest, and the person who won had no chest hair; how Sway? I would've liked to see more activities for adults and more entertainment. I think the games could have been more entertaining as well as the music selection needs to be updated.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I really enjoyed the Lip Sync Battle finale. That was really entertaining and the production was great.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I've always found that the best customer service to be on cruise ship. Our cabin crew Leo, was amazing. Our dinner staff Nikart and Alexia were awesome. Nikart had the best moves and really made dinner time very entertaining.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The decor was very old and dated and really could use a little modernization. The balcony suite we had was a standard room, nothing about it wowed me.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had a king sized bed that was very comfortable. My husband and I had more than enough storage for our clothing. The ONLY thing I would change is having more hangers. As a woman, I packed several dresses to wear out to dinner and there weren't enough hangers. The balcony was cleaned on our 2nd or 3rd day. Outside of the dated decor the suite was ok.

Ship tip

If you want to be away from the noise, get a room close to the back of the ship. If you want to be closer to the fun, get a room in the middle of the ship. My suite, 7422 was close to the food so we were very happy with that.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
My husband and I flew into Miami a few days prior to our cruise. We went for breakfast on Ocean Drive and we were very surprised to see signs all along the strip advertising breakfast for $5.75. Please tell me why after we ordered 1 orange juice, and one mimosa our bill came to $73.00 for two people? Needless to say I was livid and never ate on Ocean Ave again.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
We had PERFECT weather in Grand Cayman. We did the Seven Mile Segway Tour. We had a GREAT time. My only gripe about this tour is that we don't get too much time to really let loose and have fun with the segways. Our tour guides were a lot of fun. They played music and provided you with water.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
Unfortunately for us as soon as we set foot on Mahogany Bay it poured rain for the entire day. We planned to go to the beach and hang out but it rained too much so we went back to the ship.

Belize City, Belize

4 out of 5
Belize it or not, but Belize was my favorite port. We did the Jaguar ATV, Zip line and River Tube tour. Unfortunately they had a lot of rain in the days prior and the caves were closed for safety; however the rest of our tour went on as scheduled. Bring bug spray, wear long sleeves, and long pants if you don't want to be eaten and bitten alive by mosquitoes.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Again the weather was not on our size in Mexico and the Port Master closed all the ports. We had the Stand up Paddle Board booked, however the ocean was really choppy and it was very windy so all ocean excursions were canceled.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Because we were staying in Miami for a few more days, we had the luxury of having a great breakfast and leisurely disembarking the ship.
