Review summary

Getting on and off the ship was very frustrating, but everything in between was overall terrific. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves and the crew was VERY nice and accommodating in every sense. The excursion crew was very helpful.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Arrived as scheduled on the email at 12:30, and they had us wait online outside for an hour before letting us in the terminal. No one gave us any information. It started to pour down rain , our bags were left on the curb, so many bags were very wet by the time they loaded on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good. Our waitress and her team was excellent. Very friendly, very efficient and made our dining experience wonderful. We ate in the Golden Dining Room, your time dining, and always sat in the same section just to get the same wait staff. The Emerald Room Steakhouse was SUPERB, from the food to the wait staff. Just great.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the shows in the Amber Palace and the nightly bands/entertainment. The gym was clean and had new equipment. Enjoyed the mini golf, but the pools were so overcrowded that we never used them. I liked the Serenity level.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The performers were terrific. Really enjoyed the shows. Did not go to the clubs.

Children's Programs

my kids are too old for the clubs.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was terrific. He remembered what ever we requested and was very attentive to us. All ship personnel were extremely friendly, polite and really accommodating.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Someone was always cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was comfortable, clean.

Ship tip

Our cabin was aft/2 floors above the disco/club and late at night we could feel the vibrations of the music and hear it in our cabin when we were trying to go to sleep. I would either stay on a higher floor or closer to the front.

Ports of call

we just went to the beach for the cruise ship. water was murky and very deep. Have to swim out to the sandbar to stand and then the sand was very slimy. We snorkeled off the dock that stretched out past the swim area and that was beautiful. My kids went scuba diving on an excursion and loved it!

Belize City, Belize

4 out of 5
the port city is so depressed, it's sad to see the situation there. We took an excursion to the Jaguar paw Jungle Park. Ziplining and cave tubing. That was amazing. A fantastic experience.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
wave runner and snorkeling. it was a fun excursion.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
once again, we were called down to the lobby to get off the ship and were held up for 30-40 minutes stuck in the breezeway in between the elevators. Apparently, customs was busy and they wouldn't let us off the ship. The elevators kept opening and people kept trying to squeeze in to the breezeway. People were getting frustrated and tired.

Usually Disembarkation is hectic. With FTTF is makes it a little easier.

Getting on was a cluster-you-know-what when we went in June. Never boarded a Carnival ship like that before.
