Review summary

We went to Half Moon Cay and swam with the Stingrays (fun)!  From St. Thomas we took an excursion to snorkel at St. John's Trunk Bay - beautiful.  We had a bit of an issue with the weather but still a good time.  San Juan was fun.  The Fort (can't remember the name but it started with a C and is basically in Old Town) was really cool, especially the dungeon but it was quite the hike!  Grand Turk was one of my favorites because you could snorkel right at the beach and the gear only cost $10 for the whole day.  The fish were beautiful!

The ship (Carnival Glory) could use some help with the food.  A lot of it was bland.  There were a few highlights but for the most part, nothing to write home about.  Their disembarkation process didn't work too well on this cruise.  I don't know if it's always this disorganized and slow but we were not happy with our experience!   Also, at Grand Turk they opened the gangway for only about 15 min and then closed it again for about an hour so the Carnival Magic could dock.  Not too many passengers were happy about that!!!

Based on the food, disembarkation and the issue at Grand Turk, I would not recommend the Glory!  However, most of the crew were wonderful and some of them were awesome!   Overall, it was OK.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Most of the food was bland. There were a few highlights: Prime Rib, Lobster, BBQ Ribs, carved pork, Guys Burgers & Fries and the Arapas (?) at the Iguana Cantina and omelets on the buffet for breakfast. I was very, very surprised and disappointed that the Iguana Cantina did not have a nacho bar or just corn chips and salsa!!!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fun to watch but did not participate!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw two shows and both were great! We also went to the Halloween contest and that was fun (even though the 3 Black Angels didn't win 3rd place!).

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward, Marut, was fantastic. I also really liked Romy at the Pizza Pirate and the two young gentlemen at Iguana Cantina (unfortunately I can not remember their names). These gentlemen were all stand outs among the rest but most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was a good size for the three of us and as I said earlier, Marut, our cabin steward was awesome!!!!
