Review summary

The cruise was a good cruise.  I love the exclusions.  Our dining staff was great.  Had a few rude staff members on the ship.  The food wasn't as good as my last cruise.  Wish the ship would have been updated.  Friend with me had been on this ship before and said it still had not been updated.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food wasn't as good as the my first cruise in the past. Not has much to choose from without paying extra.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Would have like to had more variety on dinner shows instead of different types of music show.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Had a few rude staff but our dining room staff was great. Thanks to Wayan, Gosti and the rest of Wayan's staff. They were wonderful.

Ship Quality

Ship needs some updating.

Ship tip

If you have anytime dining but found a waiting staff you like, you can still ask to be seated in their area (may have to wait a few minutes but it is worth it).

Booboo50.  It has changed in the years.   I'm good going to the MDR wearing nice jeans and collard shirt,  on "Cruise Elegant" night I just did Dockers, shirt and tie (did not need the tie).   The food on the Glory is good.   If husband likes fish,  they have a fish and chips place up the stair case from the buffet.   The Taco and Burrito place near the pool was great to build your own Burrito.

You guys will have a blast.

Good idea. We will do that

Yes it is different. There's no way I would miss dinner in the dining room! The first night is the most relaxed since not everyone has their luggage yet so maybe have him try it then and see if he changes his mind.

leave him to the crappy buffet food. or room service. guys burgers etc.

booboo50    8 years ago

I have time to work on him then. Lol

booboo50    8 years ago

We went 15 yrs ago so you all are saying it's different. Sounds good to me.

lavsherri    8 years ago

they've got pork chops. etc... live a little!

firemanbobswife    8 years ago

They even have fried chicken and ribs. It's not near as formal as 8 years ago. Well you can't make him go I guess but I would grow tired of the buffet and pizza. I would leave his butt to scavenge on his own and go eat the good stuff myself :)

He is not a beef eater. Mostly fish and chicken.

lavsherri    8 years ago

I wouldn't miss it. service was one of the highlights of our cruise.

booboo50    8 years ago

He has tried it years ago and said if we book again he was not eating in there. We go in about 8 months.

lavsherri    8 years ago

you can order steak.

firemanbobswife    8 years ago

You don't have to but we always do. I wouldn't call it "fancy". Just don't show up in cut off jean shorts and a wife beater t-shirt. You can always skip elegant night. But you really should eat there. It's very good!

their food is.delicious. different pie every night, he'll regret missing out!

I have a question do you have eat in the main dinner room for supper? My husband refuses in eat in there because of the fancy food. He is a country boy nothing fancy.

Just got new carpet about a month ago as well in all the main areas (not the rooms or cabin hallways).

it got a 2.0 upgrade 2012. guys burgers etc etc

stacyg    8 years ago

Thanks TNTgreen for that info

TNTGreen    8 years ago

It was updated a couple years ago so what updates did you expect to see

lavsherri    8 years ago

Avoid the buffet food. guys burgers, excellent, the pizza place has lasagne (wish I'd known that!) eat breakfast in the dining room & your eve meal there every night. :-D

Weird. The Glory was dry docked in 2012 so would think it would have been updated then? I board the ship tomorrow
