Review summary

My partner and I were largely taking the cruise for the sake of going onshore to a couple of locations in Mexico and the Caribbean, but the cruise line itself did a very good job of accomodating its passengers and our cruise director (Dr.E) brought energy every morning and evening with a call over the intercom (for better or worse, but we enjoyed the enthusiasm he brought to the experience). The cruise was particularly good at taking care of meal needs, from buffets to sit-down dinners and 24-hour emergency pizza options. Some pool and hot tub areas can get crowded, but if you're at least 21, the upstairs Serenity area offered a relatively comfortable area to relax without huge crowds. There was one occasion where we found ourselves short on seasickness supplies and tried to consult guest services, but they were somewhat low on medicine, so you might want to ensure you have a good supply of general medicine in case. Other than that, great experience and at $620 (after taxes and charges) for a first-floor sea room and window, not a bad deal for a week and sea experiences.
