Review summary
We recently sailed on the Glory to St. John and Halifax. It was my first cruise and a memorable at that. Because of oncoming storm the departure of the cruise was advanced by few hours. First 2 days of cruising was unpleasant and bumpy. At times the ship looked empty with few guest in public areas. In the middle of second day the captain made a decision to change the itinerary. There would be no port call at St. John and we would stay overnight in Halifax. The ship slowed down and the pleasant cruising began. We arrived in Halifax around 6 PM and it was closed. Only restaurants and few gift shops by the boardwalk where open. The staff was great, always smiling and ready to accommodate. Good variety of entertainment. All kind of music; 60's, 70's R & R, Latin, Island music, Classical piano and easy listening popular tunes. The shows were great but we really enjoyed the 60's, 70's and 80's live music and a comedy show. Felt like a totally different night out, every single night. The Mongolian wok, food was the most popular for lunch and the line was at times 45 to 1 hour wait. Our stateroom was cozy but first night was mostly sleepless due to bumpy ride. Overall we have to say the ship was impressive and the staff was wonderful. She's worth a second look provided I get some credit for, almost, waisted two days.Ship experiences
