Review summary

The cruise should have been canceled because of Hurricane Irene. That said the ship was well equipped, clean ,rooms were decent sizes and it was comfortable and had amenities that I expected. Everything was accessible and it was decorated recently so was attractive.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food was not very good. The wait staff we experienced was excellent for our breakfast and lunch but dinner we had different staff who were terrible: long wait for food which at times was inedible!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
These were good when not canceled because of weather. There was entirely too much smoking permitted and it smelled from smoke all over except eating areas!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most staff was friendly and helpful. The desk staff except for one person were cold and not so friendly. The ship should have done something for the passengers in the way of compensation for losing a day and a half because of storm. We were sick and facilities were unavailable! We weren't offered so much as a pill without paying for it!

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Good size with what we needed and clean and regularly checked by staff.

Ports of call

Halifax, Nova Scotia

It was a nice town with some historic sites to see. The hop on hop off bus tour was perfect. We ate at Mana's and had a great lunch. Most places did not accept Amex.
Don't Miss: Definitely get off the ship!

Pros: Karaoke

Cons: The ride out was too rocky with impending hurricane
