We have been on several cruises and this cruise rates the lowest of any that we have been on. Second thoughts of ever cruising Carnival again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The diningroom food was decent buffet lacked variety. Chocolate buffet was good. Enjoy the fish bar and the sushi. Service in diningroom was very slow.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Substandard not very entertaining, ships activities where few. The hot tubs were not hot even for the adults one, must have been about 80 degrees

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
We had good relations with every staff member except for the casino manager. The areas smoke are limited, casino being one of the few places indoors because of the coldness outside we went in there. We were sitting in the smokers area the manager asked us to leave because we were not allowed to smoke inless we were gambling. Went down to the guest service and was told we must have been doing something wrong and that it was under the managers discression. We were told but another person this was told also to others. They have removed thier cigar bar, which was a nice cozy place to relax

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship was small, poor cleaniness in the restaurant areas and decks. The stateroom was very clean as well as the main restaurant which we were in the Golden Restaurant even though the Matre"d was the best

Cabin / Stateroom

Porters where good

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
St. Johns was a better port to visit, it offered a small town quaintness and very friendly people. Once again, the excursions were very expensive for what they offered so we walked the town to sightsee. Loved the experience we had in one of the pubs, awesome bartender who was extremely friendly. Tax base was lower here and prices on souvineers was less.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

See to the Botantical Gardens, we walked around the town the excursions where way expensive for such a small time and town. We were able to see all that there was to see just by walking, in our opinion the pink bus would have been a waist of money. Also the tax base is incredibly high. 18%!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Friendlness of the crew

Cons: Cleanliness of the ship

Recommends Carnival Glory? No.
