Review summary

One commedian was so bad that nobody laughed at his 'jokes'. The ship had a water problem for three hours one day with a broken pipe, so there was no water for drinking (including coffee, juice and lemonaide) or for bathrooms. They didn't provide bottled water or anything - just updated us on when the hoped to get the broken pipe fixed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was just average - I have been on other cruises with much better food. Lines were often long. There is extra charge for some venues, and for some desserts in a specialty shop.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Singers and dancers were OK. There were two commedians - one good and the other VERY poor. The cruise director was very good - and very entertaining. Lounge acts were mixed as well - one piano player/singer in a lounge was bad - other groups were good.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Got good service, but seldom with a smile - the crew seemed unhappy most of the time.

Ship Quality

it was hard to get around on the ship. Certain decks you couldn;t get forward or aft - you had to change decks. Other times you would wait for an elevator and multiple would pass your floor before one would stop. The plus was the outdoor movies on the big screen TV.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

Took the photography excersion and was pleased with it.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

While the excersion was nice, the sailing ship experience was misrepresented. The ship had sails, but didn't sail (and there was wind). The ship motored around the harbor and a person gave historic commentary. That was good, bit again, not what we had signed up for.

Pros: food and drink was available and we had a very relaxing time

Cons: Ship layout was poor - had to change decks to move fore and aft. No outside deck that went all around for walking. Crew wasn;t happy. Halifax sailing experience excersion was misrepresented - the ship ran on power and not sail, and there was no helping to sail the ship.

Recommends Carnival Glory? No.
