Review summary

We enjoyed our cruise like always but we did stay away from a lot of the activities. It seemed like they tried to cram everything in just the few hours they had each day and then the sea day since we only had one. And the production playlists shows seem to be the same on every ship we go on so we only went to the first one on this ship. The food was the same as on every other carnival ship. We loved our room as always when we have a balcony but we did not get to use this one like normal cuz we had someone around us smoking pot the entire time we tried to go outside and it would fill our room up with stinch. We were not happy.

Easy on and didn’t have to wait long at all.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The food was really the same as on every other carnival ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We had a great DJ and an excellent cruise director, Andy. We only attended the first playlist show cuz they were the same that we have already seen on other ships. We always enjoy the love and marriage show, etc.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had a great steward as always. Our steward this time was Ferry and he was great about our towel friends and doing everything he could if we had a problem.

Cabin / Stateroom

We love having a balcony room but this time we were unable to actually use our balcony since someone around us decided to smoke pot every single day and every time we went outside. It would even come through our door when the wind was strong. We reported it but every time they would get up there, the smell would be gone cuz it would take them 30-60 minutes to get to our room. We weren’t happy but nothing we could do about it.

Ship tip

This ship is in desperate need of updates so make sure you take ship approved extension cords cuz you only have one outlet in the entire cabin. Our daughter and son-in-law did have lamps beside their bed that were newer and did have outlets and ports in them but ours and our other kids room did not.

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Grand Turk is beautiful but only at the port. So if you take an excursion, be prepared for the rest of the island to look run down. It appears that maybe people have not fixed their homes once the hurricanes have hit. They have not done any landscaping to their properties or anything. But the beach itself is pretty and relaxing.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
We absolutely loved this port. You do have to take a water shuttle or taxi to get to the island but once you’re there, it’s great. We got to snorkel and see an abundance of sea life and even got to swim with sea turtles. Lunch is served on the island. It’s nothing great but it is food.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We have mainly been told to try to avoid Nassau on any cruise, but we actually loved it. I do realize they have really worked hard at improving port area, but on another note, we absolutely loved Blue Lagoon Island.
