Staff was great all around. The ship itself, very sad. Ship is really set up for a 3 day cruise, the most 4 day
Embarkation

Very smooth from port
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Main dinning "Tapas'", yes people that small, where good. Have to give a shout to the chef at the main dinning room. Buffet, AWFUL. Not much variety and everything dry. Stick to the specialties. Bonsai Suchi Express, Guys Burger, or the steak house.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Not much to do. Pools where overcrowded. Beside pool, not much extra to do. Ship should be used for 3 and 4 day cruise only.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Production playlist as expected. Good. The following shows where outstanding: Freedom Rock Band, Comedy show with Julie Scroggins.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everybody on that ship needs to receive a shout in trying to keep that ship presentable.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
This ship should be use only on 3 and 4 day cruise. The staff are the ones keeping this ship presentable. 3 words, DRY DOCK IMMEDIATELY.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Giving it a three because of the staff. Very attentive. Thank you Michael. Now the bad. Had the sofa bed that the cushion was non existence due to many use. The bathroom door squeal so loud that woke up everyone at night. The balcony showed rust everywhere and the glass was so stain with water mark and black with edge sealer that it was useless to look through it. Furniture old.
Ship tip
Cruise was inexpensive. Beware of what you pay for. If it was not for the staff of that ship trying to keep up, it would have been a disaster. Give you examples. 5 shatter window panel, 3 with cracks. Rust showing everywhere. Rest of window with so much water stains, you cannot take pictures. Everything looks old and chip away. The true telling time was when the Madri Gras dock next to us. We looked like an old cargo ship. 3 words for Carnival. DRY DOCK IMMEDIATELY.
Go outside the Carnival area and shops. Enjoy the local area. Beautiful. Did an ATV excursion with an outside company. Was a blast and really enjoyed tbe scenery
Sailed Mardi Gras right before Freedom. Of course the Freedom is older but it was a beautiful ship. Don’t think it’s ready for dry dock but just my opinion. More of a party boat than I noticed on Mardi Gras. Again just my observation.
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We cruised on the Magic in May and are booked for the Freedom in October. We choose our cruises based mostly on the itinerary but this will be our first time on the Freedom. It will be a good comparison between the two ships. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Magic.
