Food and Dining

Sadly I cannot have gluten in my diet. While the main dining room staff is very helpful with this ( I ordered the night before so they would be prepared,) the buffets was greatly lacking in gluten free options. I am comparing the Freedom’s buffet to to many options I had while sailing Royal Caribbean. I really enjoyed the gluten-free grill cheese sandwich the sweet lady at the deli made me a few times. She saved me from eating only salad and eggs for 8 days :).
Onboard Activities

The fun squad was active and visible. I enjoyed the Michaels maker craft events a lot. Mini golf was fun and it was nice to walk the track at sunset too.
Entertainment

TJ and the three couples involved in the Live and marriage game were hilarious. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time! We watched all of the PG comedy shows and were not disappointed!

We love the Freedom’s layout and the staff works continuously to keep it clean. Many people complained about cigarette smoke smell in the stairwells. I noticed it as well.

Ship tip
Carnival Freedom is a wonderful ship! The serenity deck has a lot of great seating- bring a great book and relax!
We loved Freeport! We had a dolphin excursion. The van ride driver explained where the hurricane hit and how the island is recovering. The dolphins were unbelievable!!
Nassau was a bit scary to be honest. We were touched, approached, and yelled at. If we had had our kids with us, it would have been very upsetting. We loved our snuuba excursion though- it was a major highlight of our trip. Next time, we will book an excursion and then boat over to Atlantis to walk around.
