The trip itself was wonderful but I'll never book on the Freedom again. We were given a $300 room credit for all the issues but I really don't think that was enough for the amount of money we paid.

Cyril Cornel in the Chic Restaurant was the absolute best! He made us feel special every night we came into the place. We all loved him!

The only reason for 3 stars is Chunyan at guest services and a rep in the jewelry fun shop. She was the absolute rudest person we encountered on the ship. We had a lot of issues with both our rooms and she was not helpful and even snapped at us. She looked very angry and I asked to speak to her supervisor. Emy, her supervisor, on the other hand was wonderful! I also found the guys in the jewelry fun shop not very willing to help. I came in to look at a aquamarine ring I saw in the window. They were all chatting and I asked for help. One of the guys came over, didn't engage with me he kept looking at the other guys. I had clearly taken him from a conversation he wanted to be part of. He never once looked at me. He had me the ring and I asked for a price, he told me real quick and looked back again. I said never mind and walked out and never went back. Abe our main cabin person was very nice. Cyril in the Chic restaurant was the absolute best! We looked forward to seeing him each evening.

It was an older layout I believe. We didn't really like it. Everything seemed clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had so many issues with our rooms. My husband and I were in room 1312. Every morning it sounded like someone was banging a wrench outside of our window. It was so loud it literally game me a headache. I was never able to sleep in and would leave my cabin and not come back till the evening when it would stop. The staff could never explain what it was. The AC in our room didn't work well. Being in menopause AC is very important to me. Our bathroom had a horrible smell the entire week. One of the crew told us that there was nothing that could be done because all of the sewage went through there. In both of our rooms, 1312 & 1322 our bathrooms flooded. I mean flooded. After the first time they said they fixed it it flooded again. We told guest services that the drains needed to be snaked. We tried pulling out a lot of nastiness ourselves but it wasn't helpful. The last day onboard their was water pouring down in front of our daughter's room. They put a bucket in front of the door. That was literally there all day as they made repairs. For this main reason I will never book on the Freedom again. We didn't experience any of these issues on the Breeze.
Our excursion through Carnival was the absolute best! This was by far our favorite. All of the staff were so wonderful! We hope to get back their soon!
Hope u called customer service sorry but I wouldn’t of put up with that your on vacation to relax and enjoy.. this only happened to use once doing repairs and we complained there and then no construction 🔨 site for us ... sorry you had so many issues that’s not what u cruise for we loved the freedom but it has been a while and things change but I wouldn’t have put up with those issues..
Try booking a higher deck next time. You’re basically staying where the staff stays and are the worse rooms on the ship. Sorry for you not having a relaxing time. This was my sixth time and I’ve experienced all different types of staterooms. Never have I had issues on Decks 6-8 mid-ship and aft.
Sorry you had so many issues. Sadly the people who are in the shops are contract employees and Carnival has minimal control. We have found deck one on many older ships to have problems.... Glad to hear that the Breeze is better since we’ll be sailing on her in October.
