Review summary

This was my second cruise on this ship, While I thought the food in the main dining area and speciality resteraunts were very good I was not at all impressed by the food at the buffet on my first voyage and was even less impressed by it this time around, the general low quality of the offerings overall were a disappointment. The staff was wonderful at every level. Loved the casino and bar staff most of all. I felt the embarkation process was very orderly, however disembarkation was a caotic mess, I don't remember that being the case the first time around, could possibly be that fact that the ship was an hour late arriving back at the port of Galveston due to weather.

When you get off the ship and go pick up your luggage in the cruise terminal, if you get a Porter with a cart he can bypass all the other lines and take you directly through to customs. It took exactly one hour from the moment I stepped off the ship to the moment I was in the parking shuttle. There was 4 of us with eight pieces of luggage so I tipped him $20. Well worth it rather than standing in all those other lines

I didn’t do faster to the fun as we are able to get there so early I didn’t feel it necessary and it really wasn’t for Embarkation as we were in the adult pool sipping drinks by 12:45. But you can bet I was kicking myself during debarkation because it was the exact opposite, a complete fiasco ( We literally did not get out of Galveston until Noon) Just out of curiosity how long did it take you with faster to the fun? We too loved the dining room and steakhouse, great experience both morning and evening, but they have got to do something with that buffet, shocking how bad it was this time..

You are on point with the food. The buffet is a no go. But I absolutely love the main dining room for brunch and dinner, guys burgers, and the steakhouse. So much good food to be had. And, we never sail without faster to the fun. Embarkation and debarkation are a breeze and so worth it. Glad you had a good time!
