Review summary

I really, really enjoyed the cruise and am ready to go again!! My biggest complaint was the way the lifeboat training was done. I understand it needs to be done but they herded us in lines with people standing shoulder to shoulder and about 6 people deep and had us stand there for about 45 minutes in the Texas heat. Not a good situation.

Embarkation

Actually went better than what I was expecting. Little lines.

Ship experiences

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Malcolm was hilarious. Enjoyed the Lip Sync Battle and the comedy club

Children's Programs

Had no children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters in Chic dining room where all great. Remembered all names and what everyone preferred to drink. Rammeter our room steward was very good. I asked for ice the first day and he always made sure I had fresh bucket of ice every evening. Room was kept clean.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Easy to get around once figured out had to go to 9th other 5th floor to go from after to stern. Was kept very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Size was good. My main complaint was the bed. I woke up several times in the area between the 2 matresses!!

Ship tip

Just relax and enjoy

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Just got on and off ship here. Drove to port so didn't do anything there.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Loved swimming with the dolphins!!!! Beach was just so-so. It was crowded and the water was cold. Our tour guide, Christina was great. She stayed right by my side the whole 2 hours it took to braid my hair.

George Town, Grand Cayman

7 mile beach was gorgeous with the soft, white sand. Our business driver, tour guide Roy was good. He was very knowledgeable.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Just walked around and shopped.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Quite a bit of waiting since we were in zone 25. Atleast, had comfortable place to wait. After that went fairly fast.

I don't know why they don't do it inside the dining rooms like they did on the Breeze last year

Could easily be done while waiting in line to board and on tv the first hour of on cruise. But what do I know.

We were on the Breeze last December and March of this year. Our muster drill inside too in one of the dining halls. It wasn't bad except had to wait for those who didn't show up.

I wonder why they do Muster drills outside. We do Carnival and RCCL, we love the both, Liberty of the Seas, we did them in the theaters nearest our station.

We were just on the Breeze June 25 through July 1 sailing and they had the muster drill indoors! It was awesome compared to the drill on the Freedom

Oh that's a shame of course it needs to be done ... I just can not help but think there must be a more humane way of doing this we're like cattle.🐂

I was on the Freedom this past May and I agree the muster drill outside was horrible! My friend is disabled and almost passed out along with several other people. I did not like this ship at all, it was so small. I had another cruise booked for next May on this ship I couldn't wait to get home to change to another ship! Least favorite Carnival ship? The Freedom!

No fun, but a neccesary evil.

I think that's what took so long.

We always have to wait on the stragglers who think they can skip it.

I had a daughter in-law who almost passed out

You know I don't think our muster drill took that long, not sure but seemed to be pretty quick.
