Review summary

The Freedom had many issues such as AC not working on several floors and hallways. Several of us had toilet issues. It seemed as if the ship was understaffed. In fact, many veteran cruisers we met told us this was the worst cruise they'd been on. As this was our first cruise, it put a very bad taste in my mouth. I don't believe I will EVER cruise again.

I disagree. Carnival puts just as much effort into the upkeep of their ships as the other lines. (I've read poor reviews on the others as well). We cruise Carnival, Princess and Celebrity and love them all. Nothing here that I haven't read before. If someone says they'll just give up cruising based on one experience, regardless of how many glowing reviews that shows it's not typical, I'm not going to try to convince them otherwise...

We were on the freedom last September and other than our tester sun wait staff it was a completely different experience not beer as good this trip

Do not give up just try another cruise line. All others are better than Carnival.

Last year was my first cruise on Freedom, beautiful ship and my family had an amazing time. Everyone was helpful and service was great. Was on seventh floor had NO issues.

Well, thebigshipfam, if you'll look at other reviews, like one written in this forum 3 hours ago, you'll read that the same ship was the best vacation they'd ever taken, a 5 star rating... I recommend that you go anticipating a great time, don't let issues color your entire trip, and make your own decisions about how you like the cruise...

When was your cruise? We are first time cruisers too and leave early July on the same ship. I hope they resolve these issues before then and I am terribly sorry you encountered them on your vacation. Did they compensate you in any way?
