Review summary

the housekeeping and cleanliness was unacceptable to me. This was my first cruise and I don't know if I'd do another carnival freedom again or recommend it either.

Below are pictures from when we first got to our room. We were not happy it was gross. I called housekeeping and someone came down so we left so they could clean when we returned it looked the same. For the price I paid per person for tips I feel this was unacceptable! Especially since our toilet remained dirty and stinky all week long.

Ship tip

We enjoyed the staff, food and entertainment but not the stay in our room. It was disgusting.

The post is light. We are on our way back to port as I write this. My wife and I were on the Freedom in September and I room was spotless but this cruise was quite different. We go next stuff under the bed in our stateroom when we got on board and my daughter stateroom had dirty sheets on a made up bed and, food in the fridge and the beds were apart. It took the room Stewart till 8:00 pm to clean it right. So it is possible to have very different expeiriances on the same ship

You should seek out customer service or call Carnaval after the cruise

We didn't have the best service on freedom either but it was 2 years ago. I sure hope it ha improved. When we see a cruise is freedom we will go out of our way to book a different boat.

im glad many of you have positive things to say from the freedom, not being a smart ass... seriously because that means your vacation rocked and you got what you paid for. however i believe this post is 100% legit. we also had a nasty experience on freedom. so much so that i talked to customer service and refused to take my kids/family vacation with carnival. we had cruised on magic when it was in Galveston and loved it. freedom ruined me. too many issues to list. i live 40mins from Galveston port and booked out of miami twice since out freedom cruise. once with ncl for Christmas (drove 20 hours with 5 kids, not for the fun of driving but to ensure we had a good time) and again with my husband to get back on the magic since i knew it was good (carnival finally sent me an apology for our experience and offer a small discount, i hesitated to try again but gave in after several months). anyways. before you doubt that someone couldn't possibly have such a bad time on the same ship you loved, it happens, you were lucky. ð

Freedom was great for us and we have been on the freedom twice we had no issues why did you not report the issues? to customer service instead of getting home and then complaining.

We've been on the Freedom twice and have a 14 day booked in a few months. We love the Freedom. Our room was very clean.

you should have informed guest services immediately. they would have corrected the issues. And I have sailed on the Freedom twice and never had those problems.
