Review summary
Most of the voyage was good --but having to bypass Key West due to weather was a bummer. The smoke coming from the casino kept us off deck 5 where all the shops were. Have been on other ships with a casino--never noticed the smoke--but this was bad. Entertainment was average--everyone complained of lazers bothering their eyes. Best entertainment was the waiters who kept us entertained and they were good dancers. The Matra-d was fantastic--went by Chubby--had his waiters working hard to keep everyone in good spirits. Room cleaners were good and very cheerful. I would recommend Carnival to anyone--went on the Magic a couple of years ago--but won't use the freedom again due to the smoke and the crowded feeling everywhere.

Ship tip
If you are a non smoker I would not recommend the Freedom due to the Casino smoke. It was all out in the halls and could be smelled on other floors.
