Review summary

All of the ship's personnel were friendly but unless you plan on just spending money non-stop for 7 days you may want to book a shorter cruise. The port stops were extremely rushed due to the excursions being located at least an hour from the actual ports and we never even actually went to Cozumel, but went to Playa Del Carmen instead and we were warned not to leave the general area of all the ports (Carnival owns or has partnerships with all of the businesses in that area). Unless you take an excursion then you don't even really get to take in any of the native culture. The Chic and Posh restaurants were very crowded and you had to not only wait for a table but the service was fairly slow. It wasn't a very good experience for a first cruise.

been in 14 Carnival and three other lines.I find the same with all lines as far as spending and excursions. But then again, I'm 63 yrs old so I've been around some. Never have been anywhere that I didn't have to spend money. All inclusive resort may be the best option for you but...of course, you'll pay more for that too. If you want to enjoy your vacation, go and enjoy. make the most of what you have been blessed with. Bon Voyage!!
