Review summary

Overall, we loved the cruise experience.   The service was outstanding and Jase, our crew director was outstanding, entertaining and one of the best!    The food choices that were available was awesome and made it easy for someone like me who does a vegan diet.   The nightly shows were outstanding and were the highlight of our cruise experience.   The only thing that we did not like, was that smoking is allowed inside the ship, specifically the casino.   The smell was so strong that we tried our best to avoid that whole area and the activities that were near the casino, because the smell was so strong.  With the concern for health and that it is proven the dangers of tobacco smoke, it would be wise for Carnival to limit the smoking to an area outside along the outer deck area.

The tobacco smoke from the casino was overwhelming in that area and areas near the casino. We avoided that whole area.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Traffic flow getting into and out of the docking area at Galveston is not well directed. Allow lots of time to get in and out of the docking area.
