The TV screen was actually a computer monitor, the ship (Freedom) needs to be updated, the food was not great and the waitstaff had attitudes, and kids were getting into fights on the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Guy's Burger joint was excellent; however, the main dining room at dinner time had poor menu items.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
There needs to be more well thought out activities. There are ample bars but when you have back-to-back sea days, people need something other than the casino to keep them busy.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The musical shows were entertaining. Outside of the shows and the casino, the other entertainment sucked.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
There were not enough programs to keep the teenagers busy as they got into fights, were running around the ship and pushed every deck's button in the elevator. The kids should have a curfew!
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
During the duration of our 7 day cruise, we saw our cabin steward about 3 times. He was not personable at all. The dining room waitstaff for breakfast and dinner had attitudes!
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The ship was old and it was evident. The TV was as small as a computer monitor or it was a computer monitor. The cabins are small and there needs to be more closet space.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
The TV was too small and appeared to be a computer monitor which froze on several occasions! The paint on the balcony door handle was gone, the carpet had stains and the toilet had a silver ring around the inside. There was a wooded contraption that held the TV and the safe attached to the mirror that needs to be torn down so that the TV can be hung from the wall so that no matter your location in the room, you can see it. With the TV being housed in this wooden thing, if you turn the TV to the left, the person on the right side of the room couldn't see it.
We used the tv in the room to check the menu for dinner and didn't take the cruise to stay in the room, I thought the ship was wonderful but I guess you sound like you would gripe if you got hung with a new rope. A cruise is as good as you want it to be, we love them so stay home, more room on the ship for us Carnival lovers.
I think the point of the TV screens is that they hope you aren't spending that much time in your room and you are enjoying all the activities and such on the ship. I didn't really watch TV on any of the cruises I have been on.
