Great Cruise

Sail Date: November 19, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

We had an outside stateroom with a window. Even though it was on Deck 1, Riviera Deck, it was an excellent room with lots of storage, 3 large closets and plenty of storage in the bathroom.

Pros: Ships staff is great, Food & Entertainment are Excellent. Stateroom Size was Good

Cons: Breakfast Buffet was not hot & food was same everyday. Omelets were good.

Recommends Carnival Freedom? Yes!

Food and Dining
Food was excellent with the exception of the breakfast buffet, whick was not hot unless you had your eggs cookd to order. The steakhouse was beyond our expectations.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Staff were all very friendly and accomodating.
Entertainment was excellent all over the ship.

Ship Quality
Easy to vavigate
Cozumel, Mexico
We did the Mayan Frontier Horseback ride and had a great time. Aldo our guide was funny and made the trip such fun. We aactually had a 90 minute ride. After our ride, we went back to the ranch and were given free Coronas and soda. Cozumel was our favorite port. Shopping and restaurants are available right near the pier.
Don't Miss: Mayan Frontier Horseback Ride
Colon, Panama
The city of Colon is poor and dirty. Once you get out of the city, the road system is amazing. We went on the Panama Canal Tour. It takes you through 3 of the locks in the Panama Canal on a Ferry. It was a long day, but if you've never been through a lock, it is worth the trip.
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
It is a very poor country. The city is dirty and roads are narrow and winding. Part of our group went on the Zip Line Excursion and loved it. We did the Golden Coffee Bean tour. Don't waste your money on that one.
Don't Miss: Zip Line
