If you will be drinking at least 7-8 alcohol drinks a day you will break even on a Carnival Cruise ship. Alcohol drinks are from $4 to $12 each (beer to a typical mixed drink.). I love the Beach Comber only available from the Red Frog Rum bar on Carnival ships and it is around $8

my wife and I kept track on our last couple of cruises. it save us about $600. We drank on average 7 mixed drinks, and about 4 energy drinks a day. Plus all of the bottled water, pop, shakes, and specialty coffee. we will continue to get the drink package.

Don’t forget all the energy drinks, specialty coffee, Gatorade bottles included and are unlimited - with drink package. Great for the fridge and out on port days or rehydrating at 3am lol

I think so even if you don’t drink the value dollar for dollar. I like knowing there’s no surprise bill at the end and I love being able to try any drink I want without worrying I’ve wasted money if I don’t like it. I can just set it aside and try something else.
