Before leaving San Juan...I was looking for my 2 other luggage bags. I had 3 in total. By 6:45pm..my 2nd bag was at my door however my 3rd was still missing. It has ALL my MEDICAL NEEDS in it! I'm severe asthmatic...the bag contained my nebulizer/pumps, epi-pens, 800mg pain pills (Brand Name) for my pelvic injury, solution meds for machine, and house keys. Yes...I notified GUEST SERVICES ASAP! ANNYA told me to do a report and I did. 3rd day...I'm having problems breathing and called them. Requesting to see the medical group ASAP and of course...I mentioned that it should be at CARNIVAL' s cost..! Was told that it would be NO COST to me. I received a breathing treatment, pump and a steroid shot. FEELING RELIEVED....FINALLY! I woke up to a bill for $543.60 under my door! WTF?????😡 I went down to medical office to dispute the charges. I've normally enjoyed my cruises with CARNIVAL...BUT NOW! My personal prescribed medications/nebulizer/bag costed more than the bill/trip....ALONE! I was locked in my room more than half the trip.... MAD WEST INDIES WOMAN! 💯💪🏾😡🔥🇧🇧

Tanya's from St. LUCIA was GREAT! SHE WAITED WITH ME UNTIL MY CAR WAS AVAILABLE. SHE HELPED ME EVEN WHEN HER COWORKERS TOLD HER TO LEAVE ME. Thx so much!

OMG...I've read all the comments from others who wasn't there. My sister and I was 2 cabins down from this lady. We witnessed her from the time she was helped on the ship and during the ship. It was a simple mistake that her bag was missing. They was trying to move the lines expeditiously. My sister was helped along with this gal. She's a very sweet gal and we helped her to try to enjoy her trip as much as possible. It's TRUE of the events and 3 of her days, she spent in her room suffering. My sister and I helped her as much as we could. I notified guest care that they needed to check on her. That night she finally received medical care and was fine to enjoy her trip for a full 2 days. Her family is from the islands and met some of her family there. Her family was very beautiful and grateful. They showed my sister and I a great time. Poor gal had hip issues that caused great pains to her though. 😟 The gal made the best out of the situation. So those whom shared their opinions about her review.....be mindful of the TRUTH. Everyone isn't out to blame companies nor get anything FREE. She/husband are active military members and the trip was for both of them to enjoy. However she went alone. Unfortunately a terrible mistake was made by a member of the crew ship. We are HUMAN and it will happen. Indeed...we contacted the cruise line on your behalf to express our support in your matters. My sister and I enjoyed you, young lady. I will send you a message shortly and if your in the mood to travel come to Shropshire to visit us. Pray all is well and your husband is safe. I apologize that I didn't speak on this sooner, gal. Ida&Erica

Ymmik1984.... again I will express to YOU the issue. I WAS IN A WHEELCHAIR and TRAVELING ALONE. THE CRUISE MEMBERS OFFERED ME ASSISTANCE TO GET ME ABOARD QUICKLY. IN THE MIX OF EVERYTHING GOING ON...THEY LOST MY MEDICAL BAG. MY HUSBAND COULDN'T GET R/R FROM MILITARY TO JOIN ME AND WE SHALL NOT LOSE FUNDS. I CAN READ AND I UNDERSTOOD....HOWEVER SINCE A MEMBER OF THE CREW TOOK RESPONSIBILITY OF MY BELONGINGS. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE! IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER STATEMENTS...I SHALL ANSWER! 🤨

And never leave meds in suitcase. Especially breathing or pain meds. 😱

How horrible. I’m also an asthmatic and my first cruise I did not take nebulizer. I felt sob and called down to md. Was told just to see him was $500 before meds etc and they did not have a nebulizer.

Always carry important stuff especially medical stuff with you at boarding! It’s even stated on their web site for things to pack! This isn’t all on Carnival 🤷🏻‍♀️

This seems to be all your Own fault and you have to put the blame on the ship. Unfortunate you have to be that way.

This is when the travel insurance also comes in handy

Sorry this happened but we never check our bag with our medications as we can’t take the chance of it getting lost.

Sorry for your disappointment

You posted a bunch of pictures that made it look like you had fun onboard and off??????

I hated this ship, there was nothing to do no entertainment. Getting off the ship was nuts also

I find this post amazing. Why is its Carnival's problem for poor decisions on your part. If you are in such need of something you should have carried it with you. Another person wanting something for nothing.

I'm a little confused. You say you were locked in your room, but you posted a few pictures of yourself, I'm assuming outside your cabin.

Never check your meds with the porter or with an airline!!! They tell you on Carnival’s site and every other cruise like to pack your medication in your carry on bag.

J60406    4 years ago

Why were you locked in your room?

Kathy717    4 years ago

I'm sorry you had a lousy time. I ALWAYS carry mine and my hubby's meds on and my c-pap machine. Whether it's boat or plane, they always get carried on. I would definitely write a letter regarding the medical officer.

tjturner    4 years ago

Sorry for your bad experience but I would never leave a bag of meds with the porters . Too many things can happen which apparently did . We always keep ahold of all personal items in a carry on with us

CruzeFan    4 years ago

They always tell you to pack any medications or valuable items in your carry-on. Those should’ve never been in checked bags.
