Review summary

This was our fifth cruise with carnival and we were not disappointed. We chose this cruise because it was port intensive and I enjoyed every place we visited. The food was great and every night I was looking forward to sampling a typical dish from the islands. Every port was unique with it own flare. I could totally repeat.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was relatively fast. There was a line outside the port entrance but it moved fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate at the main dining room every night and the food was delicious. The Caribbean flare was definitely a plus. We did have some very loud dining companions next to our table but it was fun. My son used the room service for the options and convenience.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty to do all day, but must admit that I was too tired after port days to really explore the ship. I did get to see a few wonderful comedians and live musicians.

Service and Staff

MDR waiters were excellent. I do not know how they manage to remember our name with so many people they serve everyday. I was not going to talk about this but it bother me some , so here it goes. We were asked by our room service if we wanted our room cleaned once or twice a day. By the way the question was asked, we agreed to just once. It really took me by surprise because we had never been asked that question in any of our previous cruises with Carnival and I must say I was not happy or .

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is old but that is not important to us. Everything seemed just fine.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

We are Hispanic and we had never seen so many Hispanics on a cruise ship before. It was refreshing and I suppose it makes sense since the cruise leaves from Puerto Rico. If you are not Hispanic be open to that and enjoy our fun, loud, and dynamic nature.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
The visited Coki beach and the lift up the mountain. The beach was crystal clear and perfect for snorkeling, which we did. There was lots of fish and even iguanas. I was worry because the taxis do not stay in the area but it felt save overall

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We were worry because our cruise was just one week after the protest outside the governor mansion but fortunately it was over a day or two before our visit. My only disappointment was that I did not get to see the umbrellas.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We did an ATV tour and I would love to go back to stay longer on this island. We saw a lot but one day is not enough. We loved this port.

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
We did not get to see much in this port. We went snorkeling and had a great time with turtles and shipwrecks.

Basseterre, St. Kitts
