We truly enjoyed this Southern Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Fascination. We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary on this cruise. We had never been on a cruise where we stopped at five different islands. We really had a wonderful anniversary cruise, very memorable!!

Our dining experience was less than what we have experienced on pass cruises. My wife and I were on the cruise celebrating our anniversary so we had a small table for ourselves. There were much larger tables around us and even when we arrived first we did not get served first. Our waiters were so busy taking care of the larger tables, it seemed to us we were forgotten at times. It took approximately 90 minutes for us to eat. On two nights we just went to the buffet. It was much quicker and very delicious. I enjoy having dinner in the main dining room, but on this cruise not so much.
Onboard Activities

The only activity we did on the ship was the pool area. It was very nice to relax there especially on Day At Sea.

Our room steward was great. He always greeted us cheerful and our room was well kept. His name was Kristina. Excellent room steward. All other ship personnel were friendly. Waiters were friendly, but seemed at times to forget about us and focused more on the large tables around us.

Ship tip
It is a good ship. Well maintained and arrives at each port on time. We had no mechanical problems that could have disrupted the cruise. She did her job and did it superbly.
San Juan was our departure port. Did not see such of the city. Went straight to the ship from the airport. But we have visited Puerto Rico on a previous cruise and enjoyed it very much.
We really enjoyed our stay in St. Lucia. It was a beautiful day and we took the Sightseeing - Segway- Beach excursion. The island is beautiful. This was our second best excursion of the cruise.
The Sky Safari ZIP Lining excursion on St. Kitts was the best excursion of our cruise. My wife and I had never done zip lining before so we did not know what to expect. We are both in our 60’s so doing this would be a checkoff on our bucket list. The experience was fantastic!!!
We truly enjoyed zip lining through the rainforest.
Before returning to the ship we did some shopping. My wife bought a piece of jewelry and I got a tropical shirt and a cap.
Congrats on your 42nd Anniversary! 🥂 My husband & I cruise next week in celebration of our 25th! We also requested a table to ourselves on RCCL Serenade of the Seas. I never thought about being ignored at a small table, so I’m hoping we don’t have the same experience. 😬
